Corey Luciano is the son of the founder of La Gondola Italian Restaurant, Joe Luciano, and current owner.  Corey grew up in the family business learning all aspects of the business from his parents. 

 

Once the family business was sold in 1996, Corey pursued higher education.  Corey earned himself  an honours diploma in Business Administration and an honours diploma in Micro-Computer Business Applications. 

 

In March of 2000, Corey was recruited by IBM Canada Ltd in Markham, ON and relocated to pursue his career with IBM.  Corey was hired as a sales person and corporate training of new hire employees.  In his 7 years with the company, Corey worked mainly in account manager positions, managing some very large corporate relationships.

 

In April 2007, Corey was presented with the opportunity of moving back to his home town and re-opening his family business.  His professional experience and long time coaching from his father, has allowed the dream of resurrecting his familiy business and continuing his father’s reputation.

 

Joe Luciano is the founder of La Gondola Italian Restaurant.  Joe has been familiar with Hastings and Rice Lake since the 70’s.  In 1981, Joe relocated his family to Hastings and opened La Gondola Italian Restaurant.   

 

After 15 years in business, Joe decided to take a well deserved break and sold the business in April of ‘96.  Joe and family stayed in the area for a few years and then relocated to Markham, ON. 

 

Joe currently resides in Markham, ON, but spends much of his time at his cottage on Rice Lake.  Joe is still a familiar face in Hastings and is often found in the restaurant speaking with the customers and telling stories about amazing tales of the past as only Joe can. 

 

Both Joe and his wife are always eager to jump back in to the kitchen to help their son.  We love you, Joe!
